Main Purpose

To celebrate the schools’ Thanksgiving Day which was meant to Recognize and thank the school personnel, for their work

Activity
After the flag raising ceremony the students shared a special moment in different places of the school with their friends, classmates, teachers and school personnel, all together having a plentiful breakfast, as a community that needs one another to keep on going.

A todos los colaboradores  de nuestra educación:
Departamento de servicios generales,
Conductores,
Monitoras,
Maestros
Psicólogas
Cuerpo directivo y administrativo
y a cada una de las personas que componen nuestro día a día  en la institución

Queremos expresarles un sincero y sentido GRACIAS,
por todas las cosas que hacen por nosotros cada día, desde su paciencia con nuestro desorden, su afectuosa sonrisa al servirnos el almuerzo, su cuidado cuando abordamos los buses del colegio, por los regaños con cariño que solo persiguen nuestra formación integral, por entendernos cuando todos al tiempo queremos comprar a la hora del descanso, y sin embargo  con respeto y amabilidad nos atienden, por doblar las servilletas y servir  los cubiertos, por la curita que tanto nos alivio después de rasparnos las rodillas, por borrar el tablero y limpiar nuestras mesas cuando olvidamos que el papel es para rayar, por mantener nuestro parque limpio a pesar de que a veces no nos percatamos de que las canecas están allí, por llamar a casa cuando nos ausentamos, por estar allí en cada una de las pequeñas y grandes  cosas que si enumeramos no terminaríamos de describir todo lo que hacen por nosotros y nuestro bienestar,

A veces tal vez parecemos indiferentes ante tanto que hacer, y sin darnos cuenta lo somos , al dar por  hecho  cada una de estas  labores, pero… que haríamos sin su arduo trabajo y dedicación?, seguramente las cosas no funcionarían, no encontraríamos los baños limpios o nuestras aulas listas para recibir una jornada mas, no habría comida caliente  a la hora del almuerzo, no tendríamos quien llegara  por nosotros cada mañana, no tendríamos quien se preocupara por nosotros cada día y  hoy no tendríamos a quien decirle Gracias.
Sabemos que están aquí por cada uno de nosotros y desde hoy queremos abrir más nuestros ojos y corazones para reconocer su labor y dedicación, así como para extrañarlos el día que cada uno de nosotros comience una etapa nueva fuera del colegio.

A partir de hoy nos comprometemos a mostrar nuestro  agradecimiento mas que con palabras con hechos de consideración procurando ser mejores cada día, más limpios, más ordenados y más respetuoso, dejando ver así los valores impartidos por nuestro colegio  y por las personas que lo componen, que son todos ustedes.

Por siempre y por todo lo que hacen mil y mil gracias.

Thanksgiving History

Did you know that?
Throughout history mankind has celebrated the plentiful harvest with thanksgiving ceremonies, this was done before the establishment of formal religions, and thanksgiving celebrations were held by the ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Hebrews, the Chinese and the Egyptians.  
But, Nowadays, is celebrated in Canada on the second Monday in October since  it was officially recognized by the Canadian parliament in 1957 , and in the United States of America  the fourth Thursday of November after it was appointed a national day  by President  Abraham Lincoln in 1863  .
But why is it so important in the USA ?  
Well!  when the pilgrims arrived to the new world  things were not easy for them , they struggled for survival  and only after a devastating year the Pilgrim’s fall harvest was very successful and plentiful.
 After beaten the odds, they were able to build homes in the wilderness, raised crops to keep them alive and were in peace with the Indian neighbors, so a way to be grateful was the idea that the governor of the moment came me up with which was to proclaim a day of thanksgiving to be SHARED BY ALL THE COLONISTS AND THE NEIGHBORING NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS.

 Thanksgiving Day Prayer
We Give Thanks

Our Father in Heaven,
We give thanks for the pleasure
Of gathering together for this occasion.
We give thanks for this food
Prepared by loving hands.
We give thanks for life,
The freedom to enjoy it all
And all other blessings.
As we partake of this food,
We pray for health and strength
To carry on and try to live as You would have us.
This we ask in the name of Christ,
Our Heavenly Father
